UNA VOCE SUDBURY

Welcome to Sudbury's Traditional Latin Mass Community!

Una Voce Sudbury is a registered chapter of the International Federation Una Voce. Our chapter is a lay association of Catholic faithful who seek to promote traditional Catholicism in liturgy, sacraments, and doctrine, in full union and obedience to the Holy Father, the hierarchy of the Catholic Church, and the Second Vatican Council.

Specifically, our organization's goals in the diocese of Sault Ste. Marie include, but are not limited to:

* Ensuring that the letter and spirit of Pope John Paul's Motu Proprio Ecclesia Dei, and Pope Benedict's Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum are actualized in our diocese

* Giving all Catholics in the diocese access to the great liturgical traditions of the Church, the patrimony of which is their right

* Encouraging Gregorian Chant and polyphony in churches throughout the diocese, as was the teaching of Vatican II (Sacrosanctum Concilium, 116)

* Theologically, helping Catholics realize that the Mass is truly Christ's once and for all sacrifice made present again in their midst; that the Holy Mass is the most perfect worship man can give to God since it is Christ himself that is both the Priest and Victim; that we should receive our creator in holy communion with the utmost humility and reverence; and by realizing, in the drama of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, how much God loves us by shedding His blood for our sins and giving us Himself as our heavenly food, we will bring this burning charity out into the world and try to love our neighbour just as passionately as God has loved us!
